About Section 47

APO Section 47 was originally a part of Section 48. In April 2003, Section 48 split into 3 sections, Sections 47 (Western Illinois), Section 50 (Eastern Illinois), and Section 51 (Northern Illinois). The Section 48 split became official on April 12, 2003 at the Section 48 Conference.

Section 47 is made up of 5 chapters (Lambda Rho, Eta Sigma, Mu Nu, Alpha Alpha Eta, and Alpha Beta Gamma) and 1 Petitioning Group at the University of Illinois at Springfield.

Section 47's Mascot is a Squirrel
